ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - The Knights treated their fans to a four-goal fury Thursday night, taking down UMass in its 2016 home opener. From freshman to seniors, the entire team contributed, putting an exclamation point on head coach Tiffany Roberts Sahaydak's 100th career victory.

"It's really for the players," Roberts Sahaydak said. "I'm just on the sidelines yelling at them. It's really for my former players from my past university VCU, to my current players here. Everybody is part of it, which makes it really special to me."

ALL KNIGHTS ALL NIGHT
-UCF out-shot UMass 13-5 and earned 8 corners to the Minutewomen's 4
-Senior Carol Rodrigues buried 2 first half goals in the 7th and 40th minutes
-Senior Cortney O'Connell notched her second goal of the season in minute 49
-In the 68th minute, freshman Zandy Soree scored her first career goal as a Knight
-Sophomore goalkeeper Vera Varis earned a clean sheet with two saves, improving her goals against average to 1.67
-Junior forward Hannah DeBose and sophomore midfielder Carrie Lawrence had 2 assists each

-Head coach Roberts Sahaydak improves her career record to 100-65-25 and 46-15-8 at UCF
-Tim Sahaydak also earned his 100th career win as associate head coach alongside Roberts Sahaydak
-Now in their fourth season at UCF, the duo led VCU for six seasons prior
