STATESBORO, Ga. (UCFKnights.com) - The UCF men's tennis team rolled to a 5-2 win at Georgia Southern in the final road match of the regular season at the Wallis Tennis Center on Sunday.

Georgia Southern opened the match with a 6-1 win at No. 2 doubles, but UCF (11-7) used a 6-3 win by sophomores Chris Barrus and Inaki Espindola at No. 1 doubles to even the match. The Knights broke the tie and secured the doubles point with a 6-4 win from sophomores Mariano Porter and Jesse Flores at No. 3 doubles.

Chris Barrus used a straight set win at No. 4 singles to extend the UCF lead, and Inaki Espindola added to the Black and Gold advantage with a 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 3 singles. Jesse Flores secured the UCF victory with a 6-3, 6-4 win at No. 6 singles.

Mariano Porter improved to 9-0 in singles action with a straight set win at No. 5 singles to push UCF's lead to 5-0.

Georgia Southern collected wins at No. 1 and No. 2 singles to end the match 5-2.

UCF is back in action on Saturday, hosting Florida A&M at the UCF Tennis Complex. The match is set to begin at 10 a.m.
