ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - No. 22 UCF utilized an eight-run first inning to secure the series sweep of Siena with an 11-0 victory on Sunday afternoon. Senior second baseman Dylan Moore paced the team with a 3-for-4 performance including a three-run homer at the UCF Baseball Complex.

Two-hit contests were added by senior right fielder Erik Barber, catcher Jordan Savinon, sophomores Eugene Vazquez and Matt Diorio. The Knights totaled 14 hits on the afternoon.

Freshman Cre Finfrock, who was drafted in the 26th round in the MLB Draft by the Milwaukee Brewers, made his UCF debut on the mound and did not disappoint in tossing six innings and striking out five. His first punch out as a Knight came in the second inning.

UCF was aided in the first inning by a pair of walks and hit batters. Diroio capitalized on an opportunity with the bases loaded by singling up the middle.

Another run was pushed across on a fielder's choice by freshman Kyle Marsh before Vazquez notched a run-scoring single to left. Moore connected on a three-run homer to left to cap the frame, 8-0.

In the fourth inning, the Knights tacked on another run as Diorio led off with a single through the right side. The Staten Island, N.Y., native came around to score on Savinon's double down the right field line, 9-0.

Leading off the next frame was Moore with a base knock into center field. Senior first baseman James Vasquez recorded his first base hit of the season, an RBI single through the right side to push the lead to double digits.

Vazquez started off the seventh with a single through the hole on the right side. A fielder's choice and error moved the runner to third before a groundout by sophomore Tyler Hayden drove home Vazquez, 11-0.

Another strong relief effort was posted by the Knights as sophomore Drew Faintich, seniors Parker Thomas and Trent Thompson combined to keep the Saints off the scoreboard over the final three frames. Faintich and Thompson each tallied a pair of strikeouts, while Thomas notched one.
