ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Former UCF standout Cameron Cooksey has been elevated to UCF's volunteer assistant coach. Cooksey spent the 2012 campaign as the program's director of operations.

Cooksey replaces Ryan Roushandel, who is pursuing a professional soccer career.

In his new role, Cooksey will assist with the day-to-day operations of the program, while also focusing on opponent scouting and game preparation. Cooksey played for the Knights from 2008-11 and helped UCF advance to the second round of the NCAA Championship on two occasions.

"Cameron did a great job for us this past season and it is great that he can have added responsibilities with our program," UCF head coach Bryan Cunningham said. "We are excited for Ryan as he pursues a professional career and also excited that Cameron gets to remain part of our program as he starts his coaching career."
