ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The No. 13 UCF men's soccer team will conclude its regular season at home Saturday when the Knights host Conference USA foe Marshall. The contest will serve as senior night for UCF and will begin at 7 p.m. at the UCF Soccer Complex.
The Knights (9-4-3, 3-3-1 C-USA) have already secured a spot in the C-USA Championship, which is set for Nov. 9-13 in Tulsa, Okla. Marshall is 8-6-1 overall and 4-2-1 in league play.
Prior to the match, UCF will honor its five seniors: Chris Feigenbaum (Fayetteville, Ga.), Warren Creavalle (Acworth, Ga.), Spencer Scott (Palm City, Fla.), Cameron Cooksey (Marietta, Ga.) and Kevan George (Roxborough, Trinidad). The group has helped UCF develop into one of the top programs in the nation. The seniors have played in two C-USA Championship semifinal games, helped the Knights advance to the second round of the 2010 NCAA Tournament and guided UCF to No. 6 in the nation polls earlier this year, which was the highest ranking in school history.
UCF is seeking its 10th victory of the year. After winning 12 contests in 2010, the Knights are aiming for their first back-to-back 10-win seasons since joining C-USA in 2005.
The Knights are 5-2-0 at home this season. UCF has a 5-3-1 edge in the all-time series with the Thundering Herd.
The Herd are led by Tom Jackson, who has nine goals on the season.
Tickets for UCF-Marshall will be available outside the UCF Soccer Complex Saturday. The Gold Pass, which offers season tickets to all soccer, volleyball, softball and track & field games, is still available by calling (407) UCF-1000.
Live stats and video for Saturday's game will be available at UCFAthletics.com.
