ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF women's soccer team will begin its quest for a Conference USA Championship title Wednesday when the Knights open the league tournament against East Carolina in Memphis, Tenn. The opening round match at the Mike Rose Soccer Complex will begin at 6:30 p.m. Eastern.

UCF (11-3-5, 6-2-3 C-USA) has earned the No. 4 seed at the eight-team tournament. The Pirates, who are 10-6-1 overall and went 5-5-0 in league play, are the No. 5 seed. If the Knights defeat East Carolina, they will face either top-seed Memphis or No. 8 Tulsa in the semifinals Friday.

UCF and the Pirates met on Oct. 9 in Greenville and the Knights rolled to a 2-0 win. Juniors Nicollete Radovcic (Rockaway, N.J.) and Tishia Jewell (Satellite Beach, Fla.) both scored in the victory. Senior Aline Reis (Campinas, Brazil) posted five saves for the Knights.

UCF enters the league championship coming off a 2-0 win at Southern Miss Friday. The Knights outshot the Golden Eagles, 19-4.

The Knights have played well away from home this season as the squad is 7-1-3 outside of Orlando.

A year ago, UCF hosted the C-USA Championship and advanced to the finals where it dropped a 1-0 decision to Memphis.

East Carolina enters the tournament having won four of its last five matches.

Live statistics for all of UCF's games at the event will be available at UCFAthletics.com.

The championship game is set for Sunday at 2 p.m. Eastern and will be televised on CBS Sports Network. The league champion receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Championship, which will start Nov. 11.
