TEAM NOTES

-UCF dropped to 2-2 on the season, and has lost two-straight games for the first time since 2008.
-Head coach George O'Leary remained on 99-career victories.
-The Knights fell to 6-5 all-time on Fridays, and had their streak of five-consecutive victories while appearing on ESPN or ESPN2 snapped.
-UCF entered Friday winners of 10-straight games when it led at halftime (led BYU 10-3), but had that streak halted as well.
-The Knights still have not allowed a touchdown pass all season. They are one of six schools in the nation who have not yielded a passing touchdown.
-UCF grabbed a 3-0 lead on a 34-yard field goal by Nick Cattoi to cap off the first drive of the game. The Knights have now scored on its first drive in two games this year (Charleston Southern).
-That first drive also lasted 10 plays, which marked the eighth-straight game dating back to last year UCF had a scoring drive of at least 10 plays.
-UCF finished with 399 total yards, while BYU had 260.

INDIVIDUAL NOTES

-True freshman Troy Gray and junior Ray Shipman both made their first-career starts as outside linebackers Friday.
-Gray was the second true freshman to start a game this year (outside linebacker Leilon Willingham), while Shipman was previously on the University of Florida's basketball team.
-Senior Darius Nall, who tied for the team-lead in sacks in 2010, recorded his first sack of 2011 in the first quarter.
-On BYU's second drive of the game, Lyle Dankenbring tipped a third-down pass into Josh Robinson's arms for an interception. It was the junior's 10th-career pick, as he ranks all alone in fifth on UCF's all-time list.
-UCF took advantage of that interception when Jeff Godfrey converted a third down into a 10-yard touchdown run for a 10-3 lead at the end of the first quarter. He then rushed for another in the third quarter to make it 17-10 UCF. It was Godfrey's seventh and eighth rushing touchdowns of the season.
-Godfrey now has 18 rushing touchdowns for his career, which ranks 10th in UCF history among all players, not just quarterbacks. One more will move him into a tie for seventh.
-Godfrey continues to close in on Daunte Culpepper's UCF quarterback record of 24 rushing touchdowns. Culpepper accomplished that feat in 44-career games.
-In the air, Godfrey found A.J. Guyton on 54-yard and 58-yard receptions in the second half, which marked the longest plays by UCF this season.
-Godfrey finished with 272 passing yards for his third-career 200-yard passing game.
-Guyton tied a career-high with nine receptions, while setting a personal-best with 163 yards.
-Redshirt freshman Blake Bortles entered the game in the third quarter due to an injury to Godfrey, and went 4-for-5 with 46 yards on his first and only drive.
