ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Although UCF's 2011 season came to a close in the NCAA Tournament, several Knights will return to the diamond right away to take part in seven different collegiate wood-bat summer leagues. That includes four players who are slated to participate in the prestigious Cape Cod League.
The Cape opens its 2011 schedule this Friday, and representing the Knights will be four would-be juniors in closer Joe Rogers, shortstop Darnell Sweeney, center fielder Ronnie Richardson and first baseman/right-handed pitcher D.J. Hicks.
A total of 13 Knights will spread out across the country to work on their game in preparation for the 2012 UCF season. Check out the full list below of what teams they will be suiting up with this summer.
