ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Junior Aline Reis and sophomore Tishia Jewell both shined at the Arizona Tournament this past weekend. Their performances earned them the Bright House Student-Athletes of the Week.
Reis accumulated 14 saves at the Arizona tournament, including seven saves against Arizona State for her second shutout of the year. Her efforts earned her the Conference USA Defensive Player of the Week.
Jewell tallied five points this weekend. She helped UCF post one of its largest non-conference shutouts in program history, scoring two second-half goals. Jewell also earned C-USA Offensive Player of the Week.
Reis, Jewell and the rest of the Knights return home this weekend when they host East Carolina Friday at 7 p.m.
