ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Representing UCF baseball in the storied Cape Cod League this summer, sophomore Ronnie Richardson was tabbed as an East All-Star and will travel to Fenway Park for the All-Star Game which is set for Wednesday at 7 p.m. The outfielder ranks 12th in the league in batting average and is 11-for-13 in stolen bases for the Harwich Mariners.
Richardson is one of 19 current Knights spread out among seven different leagues as they are getting ready to wrap up the summer seasons.
Joining Richardson as summer all-stars included outfielder Alex Friedrich (Florida Collegiate Summer League), first baseman Jonathan Griffin (Valley Baseball League) and infielder/catcher Chris Taladay (Cal Ripken Collegiate Baseball League).
