ATLANTA, Ga. (UCFAthletics.com) - UCF junior Jenny Frisell moved on to the round of 32 in singles play Friday at the 2009 Wilson/ITA Southeast Region Championships at Georgia Tech. Also advancing were the doubles team of sophomores Alexis Rodriguez and Taylor Dubins as it gave up only one game in the first round.
Frisell had little trouble in her first match of the tournament, getting past USF's Allyn Mueller, 6-3, 6-2. Frisell is now set to play No. 12 seed Cameron Ellis from Georgia in the second round.
Dubins and Rodriguez, meanwhile, cruised into the second round with an 8-1 triumph over Mercer's Amalia Bugge and Jennifer Lada.
