ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Capped off by senior Danielle Dos Santos (Campinas, Brazil) being named an NSCAA Collegiate Scholar All-American, the UCF women's soccer team racked up enough awards to fit numerous trophy cases in 2008.
Dos Santos' honor was the seventh time a Knight received Collegiate Scholar All-America honors by the NSCAA, and five of those selections have all been under head coach Amanda Cromwell.
Meanwhile, freshman keeper Aline Reis (Campinas, Brazil) accumulated 12 accolades last season, including four Conference USA weekly awards and a spot on the NSCAA/adidas All-America Second Team. Reis became the first Knights since 1995 to be tabbed as an All-American, joining a list of players that includes current UCF assistant coach Michelle Akers.
