Oct. 23, 2008

ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Seniors Sarah de Leon, Danielle Dos Santos, Jessie Gardner and Hanna Wilde will all be acknowledged during Senior Night Friday when the UCF women's soccer team hosts SMU at 7 p.m. Admission is free to the UCF Soccer Complex, while fans looking to park in Garage F need to tell the attendants they are parking for soccer to avoid paying a fee due to an event at the new UCF Arena.

For Knight supporters unable to attend Friday night's match, All-Access subscribers to UCFAthletics.com can watch the contest vs. the Mustangs online.

Along with playing SMU, the Knights also have a road trip to Tulsa on the plate for Sunday with that contest getting underway at 2 p.m. ET.

UCF is hoping to finish strong in its last three regular-season Conference USA games before the league tournament Nov. 5-9 at Rice. The Knights are 9-4-3 overall, 4-2-2 in C-USA and No. 24 in the latest NCAA RPI rankings. They are coming off their best offensive performance of the year, defeating Houston Oct. 19, 6-0. In that match, junior Brianna Schooley accumulated six points (2-2--6) and classmate Yvonne George added five points (2-1--5).

George currently leads UCF with 15 points on four goals and seven assists, and seven other Knights have at least seven points on the season. Freshman Aline Reis has spent the majority of the year in net, however Gardner got the start vs. Houston and proceeded to rack up four saves for the victory.

UCF is undefeated in its last 12 regular-season home finales, going 11-0-1 over that stretch.

SMU will be trying to break that streak, while also hoping to get back at the Knights after the Black and Gold traveled to Dallas last year and walked away with a 5-0 shutout victory. The Mustangs were victims in their last three outings, dropping decisions to East Carolina, Memphis and UAB. They hold a 5-10-1 record in 2008 and a 3-5-0 mark in C-USA action. There are four student-athletes who have posted a team-high six points on the year, while Ashley Gunter (1-6-1) and Courtney Webb (3-3-0) have split time in net.

Tulsa is 6-8-3 overall and 1-5-2 in C-USA after 0-4-2 in its last six matches. Last weekend, the Golden Hurricane played UAB to a 1-1 draw, however suffered a 4-2 home defeat to Memphis. Jennifer Kacergis will be a primary figure to watch for the Knights. She paces Tulsa with six goals, four assists, 16 points, 32 shots and 19 shots on goal. Kendall Harclerode owns a 1.14 goals-against average with 69 saves in net.

UCF is tied 3-3-0 all-time vs. SMU, but it holds a 2-0-1 lead over Tulsa.
