UCF Fastbreak - Dec. 26

Dec. 26, 2007

ORLANDO, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - Fans will hear new voices on UCF broadcasts this season as a pair of former Knights will be joining the UCF ISP Sports Network for select radio broadcasts. Josh Bodden and Troy Lindbeck will both take turns providing color commentary for UCF contests, working with play-by-play man Marc Daniels and reporter Scott Adams.

A reliable post player, Bodden suited up for the Knights from 2000-04. He played on UCF's 2004 NCAA Tournament team and finished his career with 120 blocks, which ranks fourth all-time in program history.

A shooting guard, Lindbeck played under Kirk Speraw from 2002-06. He was a member of two NCAA Tournament squads and appeared in 122 contests in four years. Lindbeck left UCF as one of the school's all-time leaders in 3-pointers with 120.

Lindbeck will make his radio debut on Friday, working with Adams as the Knights take on traditional power Connecticut. Daniels will not be in attendance that game as he is traveling to Memphis, Tenn., with the football team for the AutoZone Liberty Bowl.

"I am looking forward to having Josh and Troy on the broadcasts," Daniels said. "As two former players, they know what it is like to play at UCF and can provide unique insight about the game. I think listeners will enjoy their perspectives as they were recently competing as student-athletes and know so much about college basketball."

Daniels is in his 13th year calling UCF basketball contests.

UCF broadcasts are available in Orlando on 740 AM and via the Internet at www.ucfathletics.com.

The UCF Athletics Association is offering a special holiday ticket package. For $25, fans will receive tickets to the Connecticut contest and for both of UCF's games at the UCF Holiday Classic (Dec. 30-31). The holiday package provides fans with a $10 discount as tickets to these three contests usually cost $35.

Fans should call 407-UCF-1000 to purchase the ticket package.
