Windermere, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - Fourth-ranked Georgia set a single-round team scoring record with a second round 275 (-13) on Monday to take over first place at the Isleworth-UCF Collegiate Invitational presented by Ruth's Chris Steak House. Harris English led a quartet of Bulldogs in red figures with a second-round 67 (-5) to help the team post a two-round total of 566 (-10), which is also a tournament record for a low 36-hole total.

The Bulldogs, who have won the event twice in three years, trailed first-round co-leaders Oklahoma State, Southern Cal and UCF by seven strokes entering the day, but now hold a four-shot advantage on 17th-ranked Wake Forest (570, -6). The four Bulldogs that counted towards the team scoring combined for 19 birdies on the par 72, 7,493-yard layout at the Isleworth Golf and Country Club.

Wake Forest junior Dustin Groves set a tournament record with a 66 (-6) in round two. Groves had six birdies and an eagle-two on the par 4, 16th-hole to help the Demon Deacons move up two spots into sole possession of second place.

Oklahoma State freshman Ricky Fowler joined Groves in the tournament record book and kept the fifth-ranked Cowboys within striking distance after also carding a 66 (-6) in his second round. OSU is in fourth with a two-round team score of (573, -3).

Fowler leads the race for medalist honors along with first round co-leader Jamie Lovemark of Southern Cal. The duo shares the lead with two-round totals of 136 (-6). Fowler and Lovemark have a one-shot cushion on English and Kentucky's Andy Winings, who also shot a 67 (-5) in his second 18 holes. The ninth-ranked Trojans are in third (571, -5) in the team standings, five shots off the pace set by the Bulldogs.

Clemson remained in fifth after a second round 290 (+2) to put the Tigers' two-round total at 577 (+1). The host Knights dropped into sixth in the team standings with a 294 (+6) and a have two-round total of 578 (+2). Junior David Johnson posted the low round of the day for UCF with a 70 (-2) and is tied for 12th overall.

Twenty-two players were under par in Sunday's round one, while 18 players posted red figures on Monday.

The final round of the Invitational being hosted by Tavistock Group, Central Florida Sports Commission and UCF is set for Tuesday. Rankings used in this release are from the Golfweek/Sagarin Performance Index.
