SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. - UCF junior Kristy McLaughlin shot a team-best five-over par 76 to finish in a tie for 16th place after the third and final round of the Ross Resorts Invitational at Pine Needles Tuesday. McLaughlin was UCF's lone top 20 finisher as she carded a 54-hole total of 233 (+20).
As a team, UCF finished ninth with a three-round score of 962 (+110). Augusta State won the tournament team title with a score of 905 (+53).
Junior Holly Boot was UCF's other top 30 finisher, ending the tournament in a tie for 23rd. The Naples native carded a third-round score of 78 Tuesday to end the 54-hole event with a score of 236 (+23).
UCF closes out its fall tour November 7-8 at the Hatter Fall Classic. Newly appointed head coach Emilee Klein will guide UCF for the first time at the Hatter Fall Classic next week.
