Tulane at UCF Post Game QuotesOctober 21, 2005Florida Citrus BowlOrlando, Fla.
UCF Head Coach George O'Leary
Opening Remarks:
"This was another good conference win. It was obviously a sloppy game on our part from the penalty standpoint. It sort of negated some great field position and possibility of scores. There were way too many holding calls and a couple of interference calls. I think we had 18 penalties and you just can't do that.
I told the team to enjoy the win but that (penalties) is something you can't do. I am going to look on field to see how accurate they are. I thought the kids hung in there. When we needed to get something done on defense they made some plays. I thought offensively, I was disappointed during that last quarter where we needed to make first downs we should have made them. It is a good conference win against a good football team. Moffett made some plays today and got some vision downfield. I thought the running backs, a couple of them ran fairly well today. Obviously some of the secondary guys made some keys played when they had to make them. I told the team it is a great conference win and I congratulated the team on it."
On Jason Peters Performance:
"Jason Peters is a good running back. I think we have three guys that are different style type guys that keep pounding the line of scrimmage. I thought we blocked well at times, I thought other times we didn't sustain the line of scrimmage. I think we got our game in sync in the second half with the passing game."
Tulane Head Coach Chris Scelfo
Opening Remarks:
"Defensively they ran over us, you are not going to beat anybody that way. You turn the ball over five times, you get whipped on defense, you are not going to win."
