Home of UCF Softball

Since its groundbreaking on March 14, 2006, the UCF Softball Complex is where the Knights call home. The state-of-the-art 600-seat facility speaks volumes for how far the program has come under the direction of head coach Cindy Ball-Malone, and where it is headed.

The entire facility received massive upgrades in the fall of 2021, giving “The Plex” a fresh look. The upgrades included a brand new locker room, padded outfield walls and backstop, new foul poles, a fresh coat of paint on the exterior of all buildings, and updated branding and design in the staff offices.

Prior to the 2023 spring campaign, the facility saw brand-new artificial turf installed along both the first and third base lines as well as behind the third base dugout, and the addition of Yakkertech followed soon after, fully functional and ready for use ahead of the 2024 season.

On display throughout the complex's concourse are banners that honor the program's five players enshrined in the UCF Athletics Hall of Fame: Stephanie Best (2002-05), Allison Kime (2006-08), Natalie Land (2009-12), Mackenzie Audas (2012-15) and Shelby Turnier (2012-15).

Within the facility's offices building and along the padded outfield fence, 19 banners proudly pay tribute to the program's 10 NCAA Tournament appearances, one Super Regional berth, five conference tournament championships, and three conference regular-season titles.

It didn't take long for the complex's upgrades to garner national attention. The 2022 Knights became the first team in program history to host an NCAA Regional, placing the eyes of the nation on The Plex.

The Black and Gold tore through the 2022 NCAA Orlando Regional, winning all three games they played against then-No. 20 Michigan and Villanova en route to the first Super Regional appearance in program history. Over 3,000 fans were in attendance between UCF's three contests, including an official 1,227 on hand to watch the Knights' regional-winning 9-4 victory over the Wolverines May 22.

The field is professionally manicured by the UCF facilities and operations staff and includes a covered batting pavilion, roomy dugouts, and home and visitor bullpens.

Student-athletes have access to everything they need to prepare for gameday at the UCF Softball Complex. The Knights have a spacious, modernized locker room that features a lounge area complete with a television, couches and chairs, an equipment room, and their own training room complete with a top-notch athletic training staff.

Along with having comfortable offices for each member of the coaching staff, the UCF Softball Complex also has a conference room, a video room and locker rooms for both the coaching staff and for umpires. The press box at the stadium provides two rows of media seating in addition to dedicated home and visitor TV/radio broadcast booths.

On game days, fans have access to a ticket booth, concessions stand and team shop, while also being able to participate in multiple promotions and events throughout the season.
