Brandi Stuart joined UCF as Senior Associate Athletics Director for Student-Athlete Welfare and Development in September 2015, was promoted to Executive Associate Athletic Director in 2018 and again promoted to Deputy AD for Student-Athlete Success in November of 2020. Stuart also serves as the department's Senior Woman Administrator and Deputy Title IX Coordinator.
Stuart is responsible for the overall welfare and development of UCF student-athletes. She has direct departmental oversight of the Student-Athlete Welfare and Development, Sports Medicine, Sports Nutrition, Counseling Services and serves as the campus liaison for all issues involving Student Conduct and Title IX. Stuart is the sport administrator for women's soccer, women's basketball and softball.
Stuart is currently serving the first of a two-year assignment as the American Athletic Conference SWA Chair where she is responsible for organizing and facilitating all SWA meetings as well serving as the AD liaison and member of the Conference Executive Committee. In addition to her role as SWA Chair, Stuart is also on the front end of a two-year appointment as the Chair of the NCAA Softball Committee. In that role, Stuart will be responsible for leading the NCAA Softball Committee in their selection, seeding, and bracketing of the NCAA Softball tournament.
No stranger to the State of Florida, Stuart has more than 15 years of experience in athletics administration. She has served at Florida State University, her alma mater, on two different occasions. A softball standout in college, Stuart was a member of the 2015 induction class of the Florida State University Athletics Hall of Fame.
Stuart comes to UCF after a three-year stint at the California Interscholastic Federation. With the CIF, Stuart served as Assistant Commissioner of the Southern Section. In that role, she was responsible for providing educational services to administrators, coaches and student-athletes with regard to transfer eligibility, compliance with NFHS and CIF bylaws, continuing education and management of administrative and coaching committees. Stuart was also responsible for organization and execution of championship events with the CIF.
Stuart joined the CIF in 2012 as a Senior Director, where she delivered presentations to key stakeholders on Title IX issues, organized and executed championship events and served as the staff liaison to the CIF Policies and Procedures Committee. She has also served as a member of the NFHS softball rules committee.
Prior to joining the CIF, Stuart served as Associate Athletic Director for Student Services at Florida State from 2008-2012. During that span, she twice served as Interim Senior Woman Administrator. Stuart's role at FSU included managing and facilitating student-athlete development and educational programming for new student-athlete orientation, the Peers Helping Athletes Transition program, the all-sports banquet, exit interviews, alcohol/drug and violence prevention educational programs, leadership curriculum and other initiatives. Stuart also served as the sport administrator for women's soccer, volleyball and sand volleyball at FSU. In addition to those duties, she also spent two years as a member of the NCAA Softball Committee.
Stuart also spent time at the University of Alabama as the Director of Life Skills and Community Outreach. Her first stint with Florida State was as an Assistant Director of Student Services. She began her professional career as an Assistant Director of Championships with the Atlantic Coast Conference.
For the past eleven years, Stuart has been a consultant and facilitator for the Institute for Sport and Social Justice and the Huddle Up (violence prevention) program. She serves as a senior lead trainer for program delivery, working with intercollegiate athletic departments as well as NBA and MLB teams and various branches of the military.
Stuart earned her undergraduate degree in Communication Studies from Florida State in 2003. She added a Master's in Sports Administration from FSU in 2005.
