Jamie Corti

Jamie Corti joined the UCF coaching staff in June 2013 after a season as an assistant coach at VCU. Corti spent 2011-12 as an assistant coach at her alma mater UNC Greensboro before returning to VCU.

In 2015, the Knights earned a berth to their ninth-straight NCAA Tournament (20th overall) and nabbed a hosting gig for the first round for the fifth straight season. In addition, Carol Rodrigues was named the American's Co-Offensive Player of the Year.

In 2014, Corti helped guide the Knights to their second NCAA Sweet 16 appearance in four years and the American regular season title. She witnessed three Knights earn conference Players of the Year honors: Tatiana Coleman (Co-Offensive); Carleigh Wiliams (Defensive); and Connie Organ (Goalkeeper). UCF posted its first undefeated home slate (11-0) since 1999, matched the school record for wins in a season (18) and was nationally ranked through much of the year.

In her first season with the Knights, Corti helped guide UCF to a school-record unbeaten streak (18 matches), an NSCAA national standing through much of the year and the program's first undefeated conference season since 1999. In addition, UCF made history as the first program to win an American Athletic Conference Championship.

While at UCF, Corti has set aside time for professional development with her NSCAA GK level 1 and NSCAA National Diploma in 2014.

During her two seasons as a graduate assistant from 2009-10, Corti was part of a VCU squad that posted 13 shutouts, while ranking third in the Colonial Athletic Association in both goals allowed and goals against average in 2010. Corti first joined the Rams in the fall of 2009 after spending four seasons as the cornerstone of UNCG's backline. She started the final seven contests of the 2005 campaign and never looked back, earning the starting nod in 65 of the Spartans' 66 games over her final three seasons. Corti anchored a stifling defense that allowed just 0.92 goals per game over her final three years, while posting a total of 33 shutouts (41 during career).

She garnered numerous accolades during her collegiate career, including being named All-Southern Conference First Team in both 2007 and 2008. Corti helped lead UNCG to a league title in 2006 on her way to earning a spot on the All-Tournament squad. The championship was part of three NCAA Tournament trips with her in charge of the Spartans' backline. Corti's success was not just limited to the field as she achieved Honor Roll status during each of her five seasons at UNCG (redshirted in 2004 due to injury).

After growing up in Florence, Italy, Corti and her family moved to Apex, N.C., prior to her high school days, where she quickly became an All-State defender at Apex High School. She graduated from UNCG with a bachelor's degree in elementary education, and received her Master's degree from VCU's Center for Sport Leadership in 2010.
