Lydia Jones Season 2005-06

CROMWELL ON JONES.... 'Lydia is a very versatile player who will compete for time in the back or midfield. She moved to wide back last year in the spring and impressed us with her defensive presence and willingness to get forward.'
2006... Saw action in 11 games...recorded a goal in the shutout at Marshall...collected seven shots with four on goal.
2005... Played in 21 matches...scored her first collegiate goal against UC-Santa Barbara.
PRIOR TO UCF... A two-year starter at Melbourne High School before moving to Melbourne Central Catholic High School...named player and coach[apos]s MVP in 2002 along with being named Gatorade State Player of the Year...was the leading scorer and MVP member of MCC[apos]s 2004 State Championship team...named all-conference, all-region and all-state...tallied 70 goals and 46 assists during her four years...a member of the state ODP team.
PERSONAL... Daughter of David and Angela Jones...major is education.
