Stacey George Season 2004-05

CROMWELL ON GEORGE... 'Stacey played defender in high school and during her first year at UCF, but she may find more of her time in the midfield this season. She is good technically, strong in the tackle and provides good service from the wide midfield.'
2006... Played in 14 matches...registered four shots...recorded an assist on Courtney Whidden[apos]s second goal at Marshall.
2005... Played in 22 matches for UCF with 13 starts...started the season in the backfield before moving to offense...picked up an assist against Florida International.
2004... Played in nine matches for the Golden Knights...saw minutes in UCF[apos]s historic win over No. 12 Florida State...Atlantic Sun All-Academic Team member.
PRIOR TO UCF... A three-sport athlete for Winter Springs High School...earned all-conference honors all four seasons in soccer, with first-team honors in her final three years...selected Second-Team All-Central Florida as a junior and First-Team All-Central Florida as a senior...three-time defensive MVP...scored 21 goals as a senior...tapped for first-team all-state honors that year...trained with the state ODP three years and with the regional ODP team one year...also earned first-team all-conference honors while running the 4x800 relay for the WSHS track team...participated in cross country...graduated with honors...member of the Beta Club.
Personal... Daughter of Kenneth and Giovanna George...sister Yvonne also plays soccer for UCF...major is math education.
