Scott March joined the Knights in January 2018.
March comes to UCF from Boise State where he assisted in coaching the women’s team to a sixth place finish at the cross country national championships, the highest finish in program history, and helped the men’s team to a 19th place finish at the cross country national championships including three All-Americans.
From 2014-17, March served as East/Midwest Regional Director for a sports performance consulting firm, Go! Athletics, performing physiological testing and serving as a training consultant to clients including Olympians, world record holders and collegiate programs such as Villanova, Duke, USC, Boise State, Florida and many others.
His coaching experience has included Columbia University, where he was a volunteer assistant helping the men’s team to a 17th place finish at the cross country national championships in 2012, and Virginia Tech, where he helped coach two cross country national qualifiers, four ACC champions, three All-Americans and a 6th place DMR at the NCAA indoor championships.
He also has experience coaching at Division III Ursinus College, coaching the distance and middle-distance events, producing 53 personal bests with 22 runners in a single season, resulting in four first-time conference scorers.
March is a graduate of the University of Tennessee where he specialized in the 800-meters on the track and field team and served as a team captain his senior year. He is a school letterman and recipient of the Vega-Watts award, awarded to the athlete who sacrificed the most for the team.
