Marilyn Okoro is a two-time Olympian from Great Britain. She began her journey in the USA under the guidance of head cross country coach Johnny Gray at UCLA. In 2013, she followed both Coach Bolden and Gray across to UCF.
Okoro studied at the University of Bath, United Kingdom where she completed a BA (Hons) in French and politics.
As a junior in college, Okoro began her to make her mark internationally on the athletics scene. Over the past decade she has competed in two Olympic Games (2008, 2012) and four World Championships (2007, 2009, 2011 and 2013). Her career highlights include World and European Championship Bronze Medallist (2007, 2011) and Olympic Finalist. Okoro currently holds British records in the 600m, 4x400m and 4x800m.
Alongside her duties assisting and mentoring the Knights track and field and cross country teams, Okoro is in training for 2017 World Championships to be held in her home town - London.
Okoro is fluent in French and has interests in travel, food from around the world and sports business management.
