Jessica Francis is an Assistant Director of Student Services, starting in that position in 2012.
Francis is a 2010 UCF graduate, who was an intern in the Knights[apos] Academic Services for Student-Athletes unit in the summer of 2012. She worked as a tutor at Florida State from 2011 through 2012 in Student-Athlete Academic Services while earning her master[apos]s degree in sport psychology. She also served as an assistant track and field coach at Maclay School during her time in Tallahassee.
From 2005 through 2010, Francis was a staff assistant for the Florida Safety Council.
During her time as a student at UCF, she was a captain on the track and field team and earned the Dr. Richard Lapchick Award for Community Service. Francis also served as the track and field representative on the UCF Student-Athlete Advisory Council and was the track and field liaison to Knights PRIDE.
In her current role at UCF, Francis will focus on setting up community service opportunities for Knight student-athletes. She will also be involved with scholarship and award nominations, mentoring, counseling and will be responsible for the Knights PRIDE newsletter. Francis is also co-chair of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, co-director of the year-end banquet, responsible for maintaining the Student Services web site, involved with personal and professional development opportunities for student-athletes and takes part in senior exit interviews.
