Prior to UCF:
-Graduate of Miami Northwestern HS, where she set a personal best in 2007 in the 100M dash, breaking the 12-second mark with a time of 11.94
-Was a member of the state champion 4x100m relay team as a junior
-Took third place in the state as a sophomore in the 100M
-High school team won the Class 4A state championship in her freshman, sophomore and senior seasons
