Joe Howard is heading into his seventh year overall and second tenure at UCF. Howard works directly with women's soccer, women's basketball, and men's golf.
Prior to returning to UCF, Howard was at Eastern Washington University where he worked directly with the football program as well as women's volleyball, women's soccer and throwers for track and field.
Before going to Eastern, Howard spent four years at UCF working directly with women's volleyball, men's golf, men's and women's tennis and assisted with football . Howard started off as an intern and part-time coach for the strength department.
Howard earned his bachelor's degree in sport and fitness from UCF in 2011, and his masters in sports exercise science from UCF in 2013.
Howard is a Strength and Conditioning Coach, certified through the CSCCA, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA and USAW Level 1 Sports Performance Coach. Howard is also CPR/AED certified and has a TPI Golf Fitness certification.
