Coach Erwin on Rein... 'Marcus has been a great addition to our team since coming to UCF during the spring of 2006. In addition to his impressive resume from his time in residency with the U17 team, he brings a very professional attitude and incredible athleticism. He can step in and be one of the top goalkeepers in C-USA.'
2006... Started 11 games in goal for the Golden Knights...Made 53 saves and posted a 1.96 goals-against-average...Tallied a four saves in his UCF debut at No. 15 Wake Forest...Followed that by making five saves against No. 5 ranked North Carolina...Stopped three shots in a 2-0 shutout of North Florida...Collected six saves to shut down Furman 1-0...Also knocked away five shots in the 1-0 shutout of No. 17 Memphis...Recorded five saves against UAB...Posted a season-high eight saves at Kentucky.
Prior to UCF... A mid-year transfer from Wake Forest in 2005...Redshirted the 2004 season with the Demon Deacons...Member of the dean[apos]s list...Trained with the U.S. U16 and U17 National Teams as a freshman... Joined the residency program at the IMG Soccer Academy in Bradenton, Fla. during his sophomore year...Earned All-America status as a junior...Graduated early from the Edison Academic Center.
