Nick Banyard Season 2016-17

2016-17 (R-SENIOR)
• Played in all 36 games, starting 22 in only season at UCF.
• Averaged 6.2 points and was third on the team with 6.0 rebounds per game.
• Scored in double figures nine times and had double digit rebounds eight times on the season.
• Scored seven points and had one crucial block down the stretch against his former team in a 63-62 win over Illinois State in NIT Second Round.
• Led the Knights with a 47.1 three-point percentage, which ranks as the fourth best in a season in UCF history.
• Led the Knights with 10 rebounds in win over No. 15 Cincinnati.
• Recorded three double-doubles on the season.
• Scored 18 points in back-to-back wins over Tulsa and ECU, adding 10.0 rebounds per game, while shooting 80 percent from the field and 100 percent from three-point range to earn AAC Honor Roll accolades.
• Played the hero with a step-back three-pointer with less than a second remaining to win the game for UCF at UMass.

2015-16 (R-JUNIOR AT ILLINOIS STATE)
• Averaged 5.2 points and 4.3 rebounds while playing in all 32 games.
• Reached double-digit points three times, inlcuding a career-high 18 points in a win at Evansville (Feb. 11).
• Posted 7.1 points and 4.7 rebounds per game in the final nine games of the season.

2014-15 (JUNIOR AT ILLINOIS STATE)
• Sat out due to NCAA transfer rules.

2013-14 (SOPHOMORE AT NEW MEXICO)
• Played in 24 games, averaging 1.7 points and 1.6 rebounds.
• Shot .769 from the charity stripe.

2012-13 (FRESHMAN AT NEW MEXICO)
• Averaged 6.4 minutes per game while playing in 30-of-35 games.

HIGH SCHOOL
• Four year letterwinner at Marcus High School
• Won back-to-back Texas 5A state titles, compiling a 79-3 record during his junior and senior seasons.
• Named All-District and Second Team All-State after his senior season.
• Tabbed Second Team All-District 8-5A player as a junior.
• Played alongside Marcus Smart, who currently plays for the Boston Celtics.

PERSONAL
• His brother, Joe, played football at UTEP and is currently a running back for the Jacksonville Jaguars.
