CFE Arena
The UCF men's and women's basketball programs call the beautiful 10,000-seat CFE Arena its home since the start of the 2007-08 season. Located in the heart of Knights Plaza on the expansive north side of campus, the state-of-the-art facility opened in the fall of 2007 to packed crowds event after event.
The CFE Arena's unique design provides an intimate atmosphere for all students, alumni, fans and supporters, while creating a formidable environment for opponents. With a raucous student section, dubbed the "Knightmare", the CFE Arena has quickly become of the more formidable basketball facilities in the entire southeast. Magnificently, the design does offer perfect sightlines for all fans, giving every spectator a spectacular view.
Approximately 7,000 seats are located on the lower bowl, with an additional 3,000 seats situated in the upper level. Club level seating is on the east side of the Arena, with exclusive access to the regal Black and Gold Club before, during and after the game.

The facility features 16 luxury boxes and suites, a club lounge, open concourse areas and numerous concession options. Fans benefit from a state-of-the-art audio and video system. The scoreboard features four video screens that show replays and player information, with an LED ribbon board stretching around the bottom.
Patrons enter the building through a spacious lobby that has conveniently located concession and apparel stands.
The CFE Arena sits on the northern side of campus and is situated around UCF's other athletics facilities, including Bright House Networks Stadium, The Venue, Jay Bergman Field and the UCF Track/Soccer Complex. The football stadium also opened up during the same September week in 2007.
The arena is the centerpiece of an area that includes apartment-style dormitories with 2,000 total beds and about 100,000-square feet of retail space. Before and after games, fans can dine and shop at establishments like Barnes & Noble Bookstore, Knightro's Cafeteria, Jimmy John's and Subway.
The neighboring retail area has room for 24 shops.
The CFE Arena is twice the size of the Knights' previous home and also hosts premiere concerts along with UCF commencement ceremonies.
The arena is located directly in front of UCF's old home, newly-dubbed The Venue, which re-opened following a year of massive renovations to create a new home for the women's volleyball program as well as dedicated practice facilities for both the men's and women's basketball programs. The Knights played in the former 5,100-seat building from 1991-2007.
Construction on the new facility began in November of 2005. The UCF Arena was designed by HOK Sports and constructed by KUD International.
The arena officially opened on Sept. 8, 2007 with a Reba McEntire concert. Five days later, Bill Cosby performed at the facility. The first UCF event at the new arena occurred on Sept. 28, 2007 when the UCF volleyball team hosted East Carolina.
