ORLANDO – UCF running back Landen Chambers has been named to the 2026 Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Watch List, the Tyler Area Chamber of Commerce and SPORTyler announced Tuesday.
The Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award recognizes the top offensive player in Division I football who also exhibits the characteristics that defined Campbell’s career, including integrity, performance, teamwork, sportsmanship, drive, community and tenacity. Candidates must have been born in Texas, graduated from a Texas high school or played at a Texas-based junior college or four-year institution.
A native of Fort Worth, Texas, Chambers joins the Knights after earning First Team All-United Athletic Conference honors at Central Arkansas in 2025. The 5-foot-11, 215-pound running back rushed for 1,273 yards and 10 touchdowns on 242 carries, ranking ninth nationally in the FCS in rushing yards and eighth with 106.1 rushing yards per game.
Chambers recorded nine 100-yard rushing performances last season, including a Central Arkansas-record eight consecutive games. He produced a season-high 184 yards and three touchdowns against North Alabama to earn UAC Offensive Player of the Week honors. Chambers also added 238 receiving yards on 27 catches.
He starred at Fossil Ridge High School in Fort Worth, where he accumulated 3,642 rushing yards and 41 touchdowns during his career. Chambers was named the District 4-6A Offensive Most Valuable Player in both 2021 and 2022.
The watch list will be narrowed to as many as 16 semifinalists in November and five finalists in December. The recipient will be announced in December and honored at the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Banquet in January in Tyler, Texas.
