AUBURN, Ala. – The second-seeded UCF Knights had play to their NCAA Auburn Regional opener against the third-seeded NC State Wolfpack suspended in the top of the eighth inning on Friday night at Plainsman Park due to weather.
The Knights and Wolfpack will resume the contest on Saturday at 12 p.m. ET/11 a.m. CT. UCF currently holds a 9-3 lead in the top of the eighth inning behind a three-home run game from Andrew Williamson and nine unanswered runs from the Black and Gold.
Following the conclusion of the UCF and NC State game, the winner will advance on to play the fourth-seeded Milwaukee Panthers in the winner’s bracket on Saturday at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT, while the loser will face the top-seed and No. 4 national seed Auburn in an elimination game on Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. ET/2 p.m. CT.
