DALLAS, Texas - The UCF women's golf team secured a top-10 finish in Dallas, Texas, placing in a tie for 8th at the Huntington Bank Collegiate. The Knights climbed three spots in the final round and were one of only five teams to shoot under par on the day, showing strong momentum heading into the Big 12 Women's Golf Championship. This is the tenth top-10 finish for the Knights this season.
Pimpisa Sisutham finished tied for 17th, rising 34 places in the rankings during round three. Sisutham was the only Knight to finish under par on the week, carding a 76 (+4) and 72 (E) on day one and a 67 (-5) on day two. In her final round, she posted seven birdies.
Molly Smith played consistently in Dallas, tallying a 72 (E) and 71 (-1) on day one and rounding out the tournament with a 73 (+1) to place tied for 22nd. Tiffany Tsai posted a 77 (+5), 71 (-1), and 73 (+1) to tie for 44th, tallying seven birdies in round two.
One Kashima posted a 78 (+6) in round one and a 75 (+3) in round two, but in round three Kashima pulled together six birdies and only two bogeys to finish at 68 (-4), climbing 29 places in the rankings and finishing tied for 44th.
Mila Jurine turned in a 75 (+3) and a 78 (+7) on day one, then played close to par in round three, finishing with a 73 (+1). Jurine finished tied for 72nd place on the week. Jamie Camero playing as an individual, rounded out her first round with a 77 (+5) before carding a 74 (+2) in round two, and a 72 (E) in round three. Appearing in her second tournament of her sophmore year, Camero placed tied for 56th.
The Knights will travel back to the Lone Star State for the Big 12 Championship on April 23-25. The tournament will be held in Dallas, Texas, at the Dallas Athletic Club
