Mila Jurine Captures Individual Title at Big 12 Championship

Women's Golf Wraps Up Big 12 Championship in Third Place

DALLAS, Texas - The UCF Women's Golf team finished play at the Big 12 Championship in third place, with Mila Jurine securing her second win of the season. The Knights stayed consistent all week, placing in the top three after every round. This is the highest that UCF has ever placed in the Big 12 Championship.

Crowned the individual champion of the tournament, Jurine had a steady start to the week, carding a 72 (E) in round one and 71 (-1) in round two. But in round three, Jurine jumped eight places in the rankings to secure her win, finishing with seven birdies and carding the lowest round in the tournament at 66 (-6). 

Pimpisa Sisutham tied for 5th, posting at par 72 (E) in round one. Sisutham elevated her game in round two with a 69 (-3), but finished round three with a 74 (+2). Placing second in total birdies on the week, Sisutham tallied 14 birdies over three rounds. 

Tiffany Tsai and One Kashima both finished tied for 37th, Tsai posted a 75 (+3) and 74 (+2) in her first two rounds. She went on to shoot a 76 (+4) in her final round in Dallas. Kashima finished at par with a 72 (E) in her first round, but posted a 75 (+3) and 78 (+6) in round two and three.

Molly Smith closed out the tournament tied for 44th, tallying four birdies in her first round to finish at 71 (-1). Smith carded a 77 (+5) and 79 (+7) to finish 11 above par. The Knights finished second overall in birdies accumulated on the week, with 45 total.
