JOHN'S ISLAND, S.C.- The UCF women's golf team finished play at the Briar's Creek Invitational this afternoon with a 2nd place finish. The Knights were the only team to finish under-par during both rounds of the tournament and only one of three teams to finish under-par on the week.
Pimpisa Sisutham finished tied for 8th place, totaling only one bogey during round one and finishing even in round two and locking in her fifth top-ten finish this season.
Molly Smith shot a 74 (+2) in round one, but jumped in the rankings during round two with a 69 (-3) to finish one under-par and tied for 11th. Kinga Kusmierska had two steady rounds at Briar’s Creek, firing a 73 (+1) and a 71 (-1) to tie for 16th.
Mila Jurine carded a 68 (-4) during round one, earning an eagle on hole 6. Jurine totaled at 77 (+5) during round two and closed out the invitational tied for 24th.
One Kashima posted a 75 (+3) and a 71 (-1), carding 6 birdies in the second round and finishing in a tie for 28th. Tiffany Tsai rounded out her first round with a 71 (-1) and her second round with a 76 (+4), placing in a tie for 34th
The Knights will return to the course March 30th and 31st for the Coach Mo Invite hosted by Furman at St. Johns Golf Club.
