ORLANDO - UCF rowing’s Madison Lovejoy has been named to the 2026 For Stars Network (FSN) Spring Athlete Watchlist for Division 1 Women's Rowing, the organization announced this week.
FSN released the watch list which includes 196 athletes hailing from 94 different teams. According to FSN, the selections are based on last season’s regular‑season matchups, conference championship placements and outcomes, as well as national championship lineups and results.
The network also based their selections on a review of the 2025 fall rowing season with emphasis regattas and scrimmages. Additional considerations include comparative ergometer performance, international racing results, demonstrated year‑over‑year improvement in talent and raw ability and recognition or nominations received by the coaching staff.
M. Lovejoy is in her first year with the Knights, hailing from Marietta, Ohio. M. Lovejoy joins the watch list with much to her name before her collegiate career. Rowing under head coach Tanner O’Conner with the Harvard Rowing Club, she not only became a key contributor but was ultimately named team captain. M. Lovejoy has competed on major stages, placing ninth at the 2023 Henley Women’s Regatta and earning a third‑place finish at the 2023 Stotesbury Cup. Her young career is decorated as she is a two‑time Midwest Champion and earned third, fifth and thirteenth place finishes at Nationals. The new Knight is the sister of Hannah Lovejoy, recipient of the Big 12 Rower of the Year following last year’s Big 12 title for the Black and Gold.
There are 11 conferences represented on the list, with M. Lovejoy serving as one of seven athletes selected from the Big 12.
