JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The UCF women’s tennis team closed out its fall slate at the UNF Invite on Sunday afternoon, highlighted by dominant singles performances from Olivia Bergler and Lauren Seye.
Day 1 - Friday, Nov. 7
The Knight kicked off the weekend of play with a dominating sweep across singles, as all four members of the squad swiftly handled their competition to advance in their respective flights.
The Black and Gold faced tough doubles matchups later in the day, as both pairs — Seye and Bergler, and Jade Psonka and Marina Gatell — fell in hard-fought 6-4 battles in the first round of the main draw.
However, the duos would bounce back to round out the first day of play with Psonka and Gatell quickly taking care of the University of Maryland’s Aida Eissa and Katherine Hung, 6-2. Bergler and Seye followed with a 6-4 doubles victory of their own over the Louisville duo, Berta Miret and Rebekkah Gaines.
