Wilmington, N.C. – The UCF Women’s Golf team closed out the fall season with a second place finish as one of only two teams to finish under par in a strong field at the Landfall Country Club.
The Black and Gold posted a 2-under par 862. The Knights finish the tournament above 11 teams ranked in the Top 40 of Clippd’s National Collegiate Golf Ranking System.
UCF scored lower than No. 5 Wake Forest, #16 South Carolina, #14 Duke, and #18 Kent State, all ranked above the Knights.
A duo of Knights finished in the top five. Pimpisa Sisutham and Mila Jurine led UCF, as they tied for third, scoring five-under 67 in the third round. Sisutham led the Knights with 13 birdies, while Jurine led in pars with 37, carrying only six bogeys in 54 holes.
Molly Smith finished 18th shooting 74 (+2). Smith was one of two Knights to score an eagle, finishing round one two-under par.
Rounding out the tournament, Tiffany Tsai placed 60th shooting 83 (+11), while One Kasima finished 77th shooting 87 (+15).
As fall season concluded, the Knights in four tournaments never finished below top five, placing fourth, fifth, first, and second. UCF will begin the spring season in Orlando to host the PDI Intercollegiate Jan. 25-27.
