ORLANDO - Coming off a dominant first place finish in the Illini Invitational, UCF Women’s Golf for the fifth straight year will play in the Landfall Tradition. Located in Wilmington, N.C., hosted by the Landfall Country Club and co-hosted by the University of North Carolina Wilmington, the event will take place Oct. 24-26. In the Landfall Tradition last season, the Knights finished fifth.
UCF will join 17 other teams taking part in the Landfall Tradition. Six teams taking part in the tournament are ranked in the Top 25 of Clippd’s National Collegiate Golf Ranking System, with UCF ranked No. 22.
The Landfall Tradition features a strong set of teams ranked in the Top 25. The ranked teams are No. 1 Wake Forest, #7 South Carolina, #17 Duke, #18 Kent State, #20 Kentucky, and #21 North Carolina. All the teams competing in the tournament are Alabama, Duke, Furman, Houston, Illinois, Indiana, Kent State, Kentucky, Maryland, NC State, North Carolina, Notre Dame, South Carolina, SMU, UCF, UNC Wilmington, Virginia Tech, and Wake Forest.
The Landfall Country Club is Par 72, measuring 6,106 yards with 18 holes. The Knights tee off at 10:09a.m. at hole one. Live scoring is available on Clippd.
