Lovejoy joins a group of 57 athletes to earn an All-American honor, while selected among 10 other rowers and one coxswain to earn the honorable mention accolade.
The Marietta, Ohio native rowed in all regattas this season, the majority being in the First 8+. Lovejoy helped her boat secure an open-water win to claim the program’s first Big 12 Title, as well as aiding her crew in a successful showing at the NCAA Championship which placed the Knights in a program high 15th place. In addition to the championship races, Lovejoy helped lead her boat to seven first-place finishes on the season.
Following the conference win, Lovejoy who sat in the bow seat of the First 8+ was named the Big 12 Rower of the Year, becoming the first Knight to earn the league's top honor.
