ORLANDO – One of the more accomplished arms in the program’s history and an anchor on the Knights’ pitching staff throughout the last four seasons, former UCF right-handed pitcher Kaitlyn Felton is taking her talents to the professional ranks.
As announced by the organization Thursday, Felton has officially agreed to terms to join WPF’s (Women’s Professional Fastpitch) Orlando Monarchs beginning this summer.
She becomes the second UCF alum to sign with a professional team following the conclusion of the 2025 spring campaign, joining designated/utility player Stormy Kotzelnick, also with the Monarchs, as well as the fifth in the last two seasons, joining Sarah Willis (Athletes Unlimited), Sona Halajian (Texas/Orlando Monarchs) and Jada Cody (Texas Smoke).
Felton and Kotzelnick will join the Monarchs in their second season since joining WPF as an expansion team for the 2024 summer slate, a team that originally called Texas State’s Bobcat Softball Stadium home last summer before announcing their relocation to the UCF Softball Complex for the 2025 campaign.
Felton this spring represented the lone rostered senior to spend all four years of her collegiate career donning the Black and Gold, recording a career 3.28 ERA in 99 appearances, including 53 starts, spanning 331 innings pitched with 234 strikeouts, seven shutouts, 19 complete games, 35 winning decisions and seven saves.
