ORLANDO – The UCF baseball team has several student-athletes currently taking part in six different collegiate summer baseball leagues around the country. A full list of where the Knights are playing their 2025 summer league action can be found below.

AROUND THE LEAGUES
Andrew Williamson – After a stellar sophomore season here in Orlando in which he earned All-Big 12 Honorable Mention honors after leading the Black and Gold in nearly every offensive category, Williamson is off to a strong start this summer in the Cape Cod League. Through four games played, last summer’s MVP of the Cal Ripken Sr. Collegiate League has a home run, four runs scored, three runs batted in and a stolen base. He was recently named the CodBall Player of the Day after going 2-for-3 with a home run, walk, two RBIs and two runs scored for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks.

Mateo Gray – Coming off his freshman year at UCF, the rising sophomore is playing both ways for the La Crosse Loggers this summer. Through 13 games played, Gray is slashing .256/.441/.465 with three home runs, 15 RBIs, 10 runs scored and a stolen base. He also is off to a 1-0 start on the mound through four pitching appearances with 16 strikeouts and a 5.03 ERA over 19.2 innings. The two-way player recently hit out a walk-off grand slam to lift the Loggers into first place in the Northwoods League Great Plains East Division.

Braden Calise – After recently capping his redshirt junior year for UCF, Calise has been one of the best hitters in the Florida Collegiate Summer League as he currently leads the league with a .452 batting average. Through 12 games played, the 2025 Black and Gold team captain is 19-for-42 at the plate with a trio of extra-base hits, nine runs scored, six RBIs and seven walks. He’s also tied for the league lead in stolen bases with 12 and has helped the Sanford River Rats to an impressive 14-1 record and currently in the midst of a 12-game winning streak.
Drew Bellis – Rising sophomore left-hander Drew Bellis has been pitching well for the Bethesda Big Train this summer. The southpaw currently leads the league in strikeouts with 18 over 8.0 innings of work. In his last outing, he earned the win after striking out 12 batters over 5.0 innings of work in which he allowed just two runs on six hits. Bellis is currently 1-0 this summer with a 2.25 ERA.
