EUGENE, Oregon - On the historic setting of Hayward Field at the University of Oregon, a quartet of Knights solidified their names in the record books. Adoabi Tabugbo led the charge with a second-team honor, while three more Knights joined her with an honorable mention recognition.
Competing in their fourth 4x100m relay at the NCAA National Championships under head coach Dana Boone, the Knights placed 16th in the semifinals. With a time of 44.19, UCF placed 21st to secure an honorable mention award.
The squad, led by Tabugbo on the starting blocks and followed by Janiah Pulliam, I'Asia Wilson and Jazmen Newberry, became the ninth All-Americans in the event in program history.
In the final event of the day, the 100m hurdles Big 12 champion, Tabugbo, crossed the line in 12th against a strong semifinal field. Her time of 13.08 propelled the fifth year to her first individual second-team All-America honor.
