ORLANDO – The UCF men’s golf team will travel to Daytona Beach to compete in the Daytona Beach Intercollegiate, hosted by Stetson. The tournament will take place Monday, March 3 through Tuesday, March 4, at LPGA International on the Hills Golf Course.
The teams play 36 holes Monday and the final 18 of the 54-hole event on Tuesday. Play begins each day with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. Fans can follow the action on Leaderboard King.
LPGA International, the premier golf club of Daytona Beach, boasts 36 holes of world-class golf designed by Arthur Hills and Rees Jones. The Golf Digest 4-Star rated Hills Course and Jones Course are both favorites among locals, visitors and tour-players alike.
Since 1994, LPGA International has been the home course of the LPGA Tour. The Club gained its notoriety as the host of numerous LPGA Tour Championships and is now the host of the final stage of the LPGA Tour Qualifying School.
LPGA International is also home to a world-class practice facility featuring a double-ended range, a Rees Jones designed 3-hole championship practice course, short game areas and putting greens.
The course will play at a par 72 and 6,984 yards.
The Knights are set to face a challenging field that includes Austin Peay, Campbell, Central Arkansas, Columbia, Florida Atlantic, Georgia State, Jacksonville State, North Alabama, Oakland, Stetson, Troy, UNCW, West Georgia and Wright State. Five teams in the field are among the top 100 and 10 are ranked inside the top 150.
UCF’s lineup will consist of Lucas Dutartre, Chase Haygood, Jakob Stavang Stubhaug, Clemente Silva, Palmer Haynes and Gustav Andersson. Dutartre qualified on his own, with a score of -6. The qualifying requirement for this tournament was even par for the five rounds of qualifying.
The final five spots were coaches picks determined by all the data points shown below, which includes each player’s W-L-T record for all events, winning percentage, Collegiate Scoreboard Ranking and World Golf Amateur Ranking.
