VIRGINIA BEACH, Virginia - A pair of Knights garnered All-America honors to open the 2025 NCAA Indoor Championships Friday afternoon at the Virginia Beach Sports Center.
Kiah Williams concluded her storied career in the 400m donning Black and Gold, while Adaobi Tabugbo notched her first-career honor in the 60m hurdles, becoming the third and fourth Knights to secure All-America awards in the Dana Boone era.
400m - Kiah Williams: 52.65 (15th)
Competing in heat three, lane three, Williams jumped out to a strong start as her fellow competitors were in her sight. After hitting the 200m mark at 24.23, the Miami native kept pace in third before the final stretch, eventually falling into fourth.
Crossing the line at 52.65, her fourth-fastest time this season, Williams garnered her first-career second-team All-America honor. Joining former Knight Latasha Smith, the senior also becomes the second athlete in program history to collect All-America recognition and the seventh Knight to collect the honor in indoor and outdoor seasons.

60m Hurdles - Adaobi Tabugbo: 8.10 (Ninth)
After a false start delayed the second heat, Tabugbo was on the starting blocks again along with three athletes currently ranked among the top five in the NCAA. A strong start put the senior in contention as they embarked on the final two hurdles, eventually crossing the line in fourth with a time of 8.10.
While the performance fell just outside the top-eight placement needed to qualify for tomorrow’s finals, the Nigerian still tallied her first-career All-America honor in the event. Joining former teammate Rayniah Jones, along with UCF legends Jackie Coward and Tiki James, in tallying the award in the 60m hurdles.
While Tabugbo’s indoor journey is over, Williams will join a trio of Knights in tomorrow’s 4x400m relay finals at 4:20 p.m. ET.
