ORLANDO - The UCF women’s tennis team suffered its first home defeat of the 2024 season Friday night, falling to No. 20 Tennessee 4-0 at the USTA National Campus.
Tennessee picked up the first doubles court at position two, when the doubles pairing of Jantje Tilbuerger and Olivia Lincer fell to the 52nd-ranked doubles pairing of Alana Wolfburg and Catherine Aulia. Court three fell moments later, as Sophia Biolay and Stefani Webb battled but were unable to overcome an early deficit, falling 6-3. The doubles tandem of Noel Saidenova and Anique Kattenbug were up 5-3 but went unfinished when Tennesee clinched the doubles point.
Shifting into singles play, Tennessee picked up an early win at court four, where Saidenova fell to No. 83 Aulia, 6-2, 6-1.
After dropping the first set, Biolay put up a fight in the second, winning three consecutive games after trailing 5-1. No. 31 Sofia Cabezas struck back late to take the match 6-2, 6-4 and put the Lady Volunteers up 3-0.
Shortly after, Tennessee’s No. 125 Lauren Anzalotta took court six 6-4, 6-3, as the Knights fell 4-0 to the 20th-ranked Lady Vols.

The Knights will look to bounce back Sunday morning when they host Wisconsin at 11 a.m. at the USTA National Campus.
