ORLANDO – The honors continue to come in for senior forward Chloe Netzel, as she was named to the 2024 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I Women's All-Midwest Region Second Team on Thursday. The All-Region recognition marks the third of Netzel’s career, as she previously earned All-East Region Third Team accolades in both 2021 and 2022.

Netzel had an impressive senior campaign this fall in which she led the Knights in nearly every offensive category. She topped the team in goals (11), shots (73), shots on goal (43), game-winning goals (2), and points (23). She also recorded a trio of braces on the year and found the back of the net in eight of the Black and Gold’s 15 games.

Netzel not only led UCF in a number of offensive categories but also the Big 12 Conference, as she paced the league in goals per game (0.79), shots per game (5.21), shots on goal per game (3.07), and points per game (1.64). She also finished the year as the nation’s leader in shots on goal per game, as well as fifth nationally in shots per game, 11th in goals per game and 18th in points per game.

Netzel’s 11 goals during the 2024 campaign marked a career high for the prolific scorer and gave her 30 for her distinguished career. Her 11 goals this fall marked the most by a Knight since 2018 when Stefanie Sanders scored 13.

The 2024 All-Region selection comes on the heels of earning First Team All-Big 12 recognition last month.

Netzel caps her stellar career by being a three-time All-Region selection (All-Midwest Region Second Team in 2024 and All-East Third Team in 2021 and 2022), as well as an All-Big 12 First Team selection (2024), Big 12 All-Tournament Team honoree (2023), All-BIG EAST Freshman Team and BIG EAST All-Tournament Team member (2021), and Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association NCAA Division I All-Ohio First Team selection (2022).

The 2024 All-Region recognition for Netzel marks the fourth straight season that the Black and Gold have had at least one honoree make the cut as well as UCF's eighth time in the last nine seasons.
