Men’s Golf to Conclude Fall Season at FAU Invitational

by Justin Wilson

ORLANDO – The UCF men’s golf team will wrap up its fall season at the FAU Invitational presented by the Palm Beach County Sports Commission this week, as the Owls will host the event at the PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens.

The two-day event will begin on Monday, Oct. 28 with the first 36 holes, followed by the final 18 on Tuesday. Both days will have an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. Fans can follow the action live on Smart Golf by clicking HERE.

Abilene Christian, Central Arkansas, Jacksonville State, North Alabama, Seton Hall, South Florida, Stetson, Temple, Toledo, UAB and host FAU will join UCF in the 12-team field.

Considered one of the toughest tests on the PGA TOUR, The Champion golf course at PGA National Resort is 7,045 yards of peril, with tricky South Florida winds constantly causing havoc, and seemingly tranquil water penalty areas lurking throughout — ready to strike down even the world’s best golfers. Home of The Cognizant Classic and The Bear Trap, The Champion is a must-play on any avid golfer’s list.

UCF’s lineup will feature Hans RisvaerLucas DutartreChase HaygoodClemente Silva, Felix Schrott and Jakob Stavang Stubhaug.
