CINCINNATI, Ohio - The UCF men’s golf team wrapped up the first day of action at the Bearcat Invitational Monday afternoon, hosted at the Coldstream Country Club. The Knights fired a 288 (+4) in the first round, but had a tough second round with a 305 (+21) to compile a 593 (+25) after the first two rounds.
Sophomore Hans Risvaer and junior Chase Haygood led the Black and Gold, as each fired a four-over-par 146 to end the day tied for 35th on the individual leaderboard. Risvaer carded an even par 71 in the opening round and a 75 (+4) in the second round. He had two birdies on the back nine in round one and one on the front nine and one on the back nine in the second round.
Haygood shot a 72 with two birdies in the first round and a 74 with one birdie in the second round.
Jakob Stavang Stubhaug logged a two-round score of 151 (+9) thanks to a 75 in the first round and a 76 in the afternoon round. He had four birdies in the first round, but a few bad holes inflated his score to four over.
Lucas Dutartre had a great first round, scoring a 72 (+1) with two birdies. Unfortunately, he shot an 80 (+9) in the second round to end the day with a 152 (+10). Marc Keller rounded out the lineup for the Knights with a 73 in round one and an 80 in round two.
UCF will conclude action in the Bearcat Invitational Tuesday morning, as play is slated to get begin at 9 a.m. with a shotgun start.
