Men’s Golf Set for Bearcat Invitational

ORLANDO – For the second consecutive year, the UCF men's golf team will travel to Cincinnati, Ohio, to compete in the Bearcat Invitational, hosted by the University of Cincinnati. The tournament will be held Monday, Sept. 16, and Tuesday, Sept. 17 at the Coldstream Country Club.

The Black and Gold will compete alongside Augusta, BYU, UCF, Cincinnati (host), Chattanooga, Florida Gulf Coast, Furman, Illinois State Iowa State, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisville, Memphis, Middle Tennessee, UNC Greensboro, Sam Houston and Southern Miss to comprise the 20-team field.

The invitational will feature 54 holes of play, with the teams playing two rounds (36 holes) on Monday and the final 18 on Tuesday. The teams will have a 9 a.m. shotgun start both days, as UCF will be paired with Kansas, Kentucky and Chattanooga. Fans can follow the action live on Leaderboard King by clicking this link.

Coldstream Country Club will be a par 71 for the invitational and measure 7,279 yards. It has hosted several United States Golf Association (USGA) qualifiers, Ohio amateur and open championships.

UCFs’ lineup will include Jakob Stavang Stubhaug, Lucas Dutartre, Chase Haygood, Hans Risvaer and Marc Keller. Stubhaug and Dutartre qualified for the tournament shooting a four-over average over four rounds. Haygood, Risvaer and Keller were coach's selections based on overall averages, tournament and scores to par. Below is a full breakdown of the selection process.

In their last outing, junior Chase Haygood fired a career-best 208 (-8) to lead the Knights at the Island Resort Intercollegiate in Harris, Michigan. He was the only player in the field to shoot a score under par in all three rounds. UCF finished the tournament with the second-best score of any team in the third round at -11.
